Kings Beach/Tahoe Vista
Where Hwy 28 connects with Hwy 267, Kings Beach is a vibrant and eclectic community. Adjacent to Brockway, Kings Beach is also close to the Nevada casinos and late night spots of Nevada. The main town of Kings Beach has a long strip of shops, salons, restaurants and beach activities. Because it is positioned with southern exposure, this is considered another banana belt of Tahoe. The neighborhoods are eclectic with older and newer structures side by side. Kids will enjoy playing miniature golf in the summer. Close proximity to beach and water sports also makes this area an ideal getaway home. Diamond Peak, Mount Rose and Northstar Ski Resorts are a close drive. Additionally, this north Tahoe location also offers the easiest access to Hwy 80 by traveling Hwy 267 over the mountain. The median price for Kings Beach homes is in the mid $400K range.
Tahoe Vista has managed to hold onto its old world charm of the long ago days of Tahoe. There are many hotels and motels along Hwy 28 that maintain the look of Old Tahoe. The homes in this neighborhood meander upward, offering many lakeview properties on its various crests. Many homes are adjacent to the cross country skiing trails, hiking, parcourse, tennis courts and sports fields of the nearby park.
